How does your hosting affiliate programme work?

The process is simple. You need to sign up for our affiliate programme. You will then get access to a variety of different size banners/buttons to select from (can be found in your affiliate control panel). You will need to paste the HTML code somewhere within your web site/email ad. We host the banners at our end so you do not need to worry about uploading any graphics to your web servers. When someone clicks on the banner they will be instantly redirected to FamiliarHosting, at the same time a cookie is setup for that visitor. Every time this person orders from our website, we will be able to identify this sale as being originated from your website! This sale is then credited to your affiliate account.

What are affiliate coupon codes?

Can I pass on the coupons to my referrals?
You are welcome to offer any of our coupon codes.
Coupon codes are not linked to any affiliate account and can be used without forfeiting a commission.

How can I automatically use a coupon with my affiliate link?
You cannot. The referred visitor must enter the coupon code while signing up.

Am I required to have a hosting account in order to become an affiliate?

You do NOT need to be a FamiliarHosting client to be an affiliate. There is no extra incentive in being a FamiliarHosting customer and affiliate, so everyone is paid the same commission rates for the same amount of sales.

Can I use my commission towards web hosting fees or services?

No, your commission may only be paid directly to you by PayPal, and cannot be applied toward any other products or services.

How do I sign up to be an affiliate?

You can become an affiliate by registering on our Hosting Affiliate Programme page. There is no cost involved and there is no need to abide by sales quotas. There is also no limit as to how much you can earn.

Is it possible for me to keep track of my sales and commissions?

Of course! Your affiliate control panel will show you your account status, commissions and much more.

How do you know what my affiliate transactions are?

The clients that come from your website (via banner) are stored via the cookie (make sure your cookies are activated!). The cookies remember which affiliate's link or ad was clicked on. When the transaction is finalised, the cookies will tell us who needs to be paid.

How fast would you set up my Hosting Affiliate Program?

You can start earning commission straight after registering for your affiliate account. As there is no screening process, there is no waiting time for your account to be activated.

Is there a limit to what I can earn?

There is no limit - it is all in your hands. If you are a passive affiliate, your links/banners will gradually bring in business. If you are planning to be an active affiliate and pursue sales and commission targets, your earnings will subsequently be higher.

Do you require cookies to be enabled?

Yes. The cookies help us to track back clients that came via your website/email advert.

Customers who have cookies disabled will not be able to have their sales tracked.

What technical skills do Web Hosting Affiliate Program need to have?

We provide HTML code which you need to paste somewhere within your website or email advertisements.

How do i get paid?

Payments are made every month (as long as you have a balance of $100 or more - if it is not $100 we will post your cheque once you reach this amount) we will send you a cheque for the commission you have earned.

When do you distribute commissions and how often?

Commissions are distributed during the last week of each month following 60 days of client`s sign-up. Please note that your accont must be active and paid to-date at the time of payout. There is no minimum balance.

For example, if you made one sale in June, you will be paid your $40 commission the last week of August. If you continue to make regular sales every month afterwards, then you will be paid during the last week of every month (following your first commission payment).

Where do I get the necessary affiliate links and banners?

You will find a wide selection of banners/links in your affiliate control panel.

I need a hosting account myself. If I refer myself, will I receive the $40 commission?

No. As per our terms of service, we forbid self-referrals in our program. Manual self-referral checks are conducted periodically and if we find a self-referred commission, we will simply remove it.
